Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks spokesman Ron Aasheim said DNA tests determined the sow killed a Michigan man and injured two others in unprovoked attacks in a campground overnight Wednesday.

The bear was euthanized after wildlife officials captured the sow and her three cubs at the Soda Butte Campground five miles from Yellowstone National Park.

Aasheim said the cubs will likely be placed in a zoo. Jackie Worstell, executive director of ZooMontana in Billings, said state officials have asked if her zoo could take the cubs.

A final decision was expected Friday or Saturday.

Another case of a "Grizzly being a Grizzly", and being put-down for it.  At what point are people are going to be more aware of what they're doing, while camping in wildlife habitats?

World is slowly becoming an over populated mess. No room for man eating pissed off Momma Grizzleys around I guess..........They do the same here in South Florida with Aligators. Once they reach 5 ft they are done for.

I am on my way back from Montana as I type this,in the slc airport
I did happen to see a black bear in glacier nat park and we did get a whiff of a grizz on a different hike, let me tell you it changes your perspective on things

Most bears are afraid of people but some people still insist on thinking that a can of bear spray and some bells are going to keep them safe

I can tell you the idiots I run into on the trails in bear country
